The Refiners Fire

So, the first full week of a new transfer is finished. It's been an interesting one. Honestly, not an easy one. I can't explain why for sure. I think the biggest thing is that our fridge doesn't work so it's been really hard to eat well and regularly. I can testify that what we eat directly impacts our physical, mental, and spiritual health.

We had a nice Family Home Evening this past week. A single member asked us if we could help organize one so, with the approval of the Branch President, we gladly did. It's so great to spend time with this sanctified members. They're incredible. I love the members here. We also went down to Kiev for a Zone Meeting on Friday. It's so nice to meet up with other missionaries. We have some great missionaries serving over here. We were able to goto the temple after those meetings and do a session. It was great. I love the temple so much. I really didn't want to leave. It's full of the Spirit and love and peace. It was hard to leave and into the cold harsh, cold city and rush home. I kinda feel like I'm going through a refiners fire right now. I hope that I pull through alright. Haha. I pray that these experiences bring me closer to my Savior, Jesus Christ.

We were able to watch most of General Conference this weekend too. I loved it. I totally love General Conference! We are so blessed by living prophets, seers, and revelators. God lives and He loves us. That's why he still talks to us. We also had a great lesson on Saturday night with a girl. Guess what her favorite movie is... The Other Side of Heaven! Haha. That's a Disney produced movie about an LDS missionary. That's awesome. I know that we will see miracles and baptisms happen in Chernigov. I pray that we can live worthy of the privilege of serving the Lord and representing Him and His Church. Thanks so much for your love and prayers. Please keep praying for us. We need it right now. The Church is true. <3
